9News Pet Check helps struggling pet owners

The first 9News Pet Check will be held April 10 and 11 in communities all across Colorado.

9News is partnering with the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association to help pet owners who are struggling financially get free wellness examinations for their beloved cats and dogs. Veterinary clinics across the state will offer more than 1,000 free wellness exams and rabies vaccinations (if appropriate) on April 10-11, 2010.

Appointments are required at each of the participating veterinary clinics and were able to make an appointment by calling 9NEWS Pet Check Line 9 on Monday, April 5, 2010 between 4 and 7 p.m.
