Police K9 Foundation provides protection for our four-legged officers. Police departments invest tens of thousands of dollars in the training and deployment of Police Dogs. But when it comes to the $1,200 for a bullet-resistant vest, approximately 40-50% of the time, the K9 is not issued a vest. Over 500 dogs in the past decade have lost their lives in the line of duty, and many of those deaths could have been prevented with a bulletproof vest.

That is where The Police K9 Foundation is trying to fill that gap and protect these life-saving dogs. This 501c3 organization raises funds privately, and then purchases and donates custom-fitted ballistic vests for police K9s. More departments add K9s every year, so there’s a growing need for vests around the country.
