Big Dogs – Huge Paws Rescue is a 501c3, non-profit organization dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating and finding forever homes for unwanted giant breed dogs that have been mistreated and/or abandoned. Every dog is evaluated medically and behaviorally and placed according to their special needs.
Giant breeds can be very expensive and sometimes overwhelming due to their massive size and need for constant human attention. Big Dogs – Huge Paws Rescue focus their rescue efforts on Great Danes, Great Pyrenees, Newfoundlands, Saint Bernards, Mastiffs, Irish Wolfhounds, and Scottish Deerhounds.
Comprised of volunteers, Big Dogs – Huge Paws Rescue has a number of volunteer opportunities, from fostering to event planning to accounting to transporting. Whatever your expertise or interest their is something that you can do to help these big, loveable dogs who are looking for forever homes.
And of course monetary donations are always welcome. All of the money donated goes directly to the dogs and helps to cover costs which include transport, food, behavioral training, supplies, vet care, and medical supplies. Every foster dog is spayed/neutered, gastropexied(when possible), vaccinated, heartworm tested, dewormed, microchipped, and they treat any pre-existing conditions that they might come in with.
Big Dogs – Huge Paws Rescue was founded on the core philosophy is that every “BIG” dog deserves a chance.
