A paws-itive influence

The mission of Canine Partners of the Rockies is to place highly skilled service dogs with mobility limited Colorado residents to facilitate their greater independence and educates the public about the role assistance dogs play in the lives of people with disabilities.
Canine Partners of the Rockies was the focus of a story in The Denver Post on Sunday, May 10, 2009, “Volunteer families give service dogs a good start.”
And you can check out a quick Q&A with Linda Port. She has been a puppy-raiser and a matchmaker for Canine Partners of the Rockies since 2002. As program director, her job includes fundraising and matchmaking service dogs with human clients. Recently, she found herself in the unusual role of delivering a litter of puppies.
Canine Partners of the Rockies also work with veterans by providing them with service dogs. Channel 7 News aired a story about the work CaPR does with veterans.
